My dear long time friend invited me to a women-centered retreat for Holy Week. Having some QT with her and letting someone else do the cleaning & cooking for a few days sounded great to me so yes, sign me up.
The educational component of the program blew my mind. There is so much going on that I was unaware of, (i.e., the Book of Mary). I had written off the church since high school, but it was refreshing to see good love growing.
I came home and painted this with relaxed focus, no set goal in mind. Floating in abstraction was thoroughly enjoyable.
